Commercial Manager

Responsibilities:

• Source and shortlist vendors and subcontractors, including MEP and specialist packages.
• Compare quotes, negotiate prices and recommend awards within budget.
• Control project budgets and track commitments, cash flow and monthly cost reports.
• Review client contracts and manage subcontracts in line with company policy.
• Submit Notices of Claim and Delay on time, and respond to subcontractor payment claims within regulated timelines.
• Assess variations and final accounts, and manage contract extensions, renewals and close-outs.
• Lead and coach the QS team to meet KPIs.
• Support tenders and keep the GM, project teams and clients updated on commercial status.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of quantity surveying experience on the main contractor side, with strong subcontract procurement exposure.
• Essential: recent experience in factory, industrial or data centre projects.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related field.
• Sound knowledge of contracts, claims and the legal framework.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and numeracy skills, with attention to detail.
• Proven team leader with good written and spoken English.
