Commercial Manager

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Manager to drive the commercial operations of our tender projects and manage vital financial and contractual information. In this role, you will work closely with the Sales team to secure bids, perform cost accounting, and provide critical commercial decision support. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in project-based commercial management—preferably within the telecommunications or Cloud product industry—and is bilingual in English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities:

1. Tender & Project Operations

• Collaborate with the Sales Manager to understand customer commercial requirements and handle all commercial aspects of customer bids, including drafting commercial Statements of Compliance (SOC) and managing commercial clarifications.
• Conduct cost accounting based on project scale and produce accurate profit and loss (P&L) statements alongside Bills of Quantity (BOQ).
• Provide reliable, data-driven commercial decision support to internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

2. Commercial & Competitor Intelligence

• Organize and manage commercial records for ongoing projects across Malaysia and Singapore.
• Establish comprehensive commercial archives for each operator and project—tracking total product prices, quotation structures, unit prices, and key contract terms.
• Proactively collect, organize, and analyse market and competitor commercial data.

3. Internal Governance & Process

• Navigate and manage internal commercial approvals and related administrative processes efficiently.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in commercial management, bid management, or a similar role, ideally within a project-based environment.
3. Prior work experience within the telecommunications or Cloud product/software industry is strongly preferred.
4. Proficiency in Mandarin is required to effectively communicate and negotiate with Mandarin-speaking clients and regional stakeholders in Singapore.
5. Strong financial acumen, cost accounting, and profit-and-loss analysis skills.
6. Exceptional organizational, documentation, and data-gathering abilities.
7. Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced expertise in Excel and Word.
8. Strong analytical thinking, independent decision-making capabilities, and effective cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
