Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Commercial Sales Manager, based in Puchong. This role shall assist Commercial Director in developing and executing Qarbotech's sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in Malaysia. The incumbent will also assist in monitoring other sales personnel within the department, by setting attainable sales deliverables and providing guidance and support to ensure seamless client relationship management with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and execute sales strategies and broaden market share in Malaysia.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, key client accounts, distributors, and industry stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement to drive continuous sales growth and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to align sales strategies with overall business objectives and ensure a cohesive approach to market penetration and product promotion.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and emerging opportunities, leveraging insights to adapt sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Support ad-hoc and other duties as required by the Commercial Director / COO / CEO.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture, chemistry, biotech or sales related field.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in sales management, preferably within the fertilizer or agricultural sector, and demonstrating proven track record of achieving sales targets & driving business growth.
  • Strong understanding of government procurement policies and procedures, and have had experience in handling/participating in government and corporate tenders.
  • Fluent in English and Malay in both writing & speaking.
  • Possess a valid driving licence as frequent traveling is required.

  • Time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and agronomy-related software.
