A) General Manager, Commodity Trading
- Lead and manage the overall commodity trading business, ensuring profitability, sustainable growth, and alignment with the Group's strategic objectives.
- Develop and execute trading strategies, including market development, strategic sourcing, and disciplined physical commodity trading.
- Oversee end-to-end trading operations, covering sourcing, pricing, contracting, logistics, settlement, and execution of trades.
- Strengthen trading governance and risk management, ensuring compliance with internal controls and risk mitigation practices.
- Manage financial performance and trade finance, including cash flow, working capital, exposure limits, and settlement risks in coordination with the finance team.
- Build and lead a high-performing trading team, establishing clear workflows, performance management, and capability development.
- Engage key stakeholders and the Board, providing strategic advice, reporting trading performance, risks, and governance matters while ensuring regulatory and compliance adherence.
B) Senior Manager, Commodity Trading
- Support the development and execution of commodity trading strategies to drive sustainable profitability, market growth, and long-term value creation.
- Lead and coordinate daily trading operations, ensuring efficient execution of physical commodity trades across sourcing, pricing, contracting, logistics, and settlement.
- Ensure strong trading governance and risk management, maintaining compliance, internal controls, and established SOPs.
- Manage financial discipline in trading activities, including cash flow, trade finance, working capital utilization, and monitoring exposure and settlement risks.
- Lead and develop the trading team, establishing structured workflows, performance management practices, and capability development.
- Engage key stakeholders and management, providing reports on trading performance, risks, governance matters, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.
Job Requirements/ Qualification:
- Degree in Business, Management, Marketing, International Trade, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years (General Manager) or 6 years (Senior Manager) of experience in commodity trading or related industries, preferably in mining, chemicals, logistics, or industrial commodities, with exposure to local and international markets
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management experience
- Strong financial, commercial acumen and analytical skills
- Familiarity with governance and compliance frameworks
