We are a children NGO committed to protecting and preserving the best interests of vulnerable and marginalized children in the country. Our communications team plays a key role in sharing stories, raising awareness, and building connections with stakeholders and the public.
Responsibilities
As a Communications Intern, you will support our communications team in creating content, managing digital platforms, and helping tell the stories of the communities we serve. This is a hands-on learning opportunity to gain experience in NGO communications, digital media, and storytelling while contributing to meaningful social impact.
What Youll Do
- Help create, schedule, and monitor social media content (graphics, captions, short videos).
- Draft articles, blog posts, and stories about the NGOs work.
- Support in preparing newsletters, brochures, and campaign materials.
- Conduct research and gather content (photos, stories, interviews) from project teams.
- Provide event support such as logistics, live social media updates, or note-taking.
- Assist the communications team with day-to-day tasks and projects.

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Media Studies, English, or related field.
- Strong writing and editing skills in English (Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage).
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X).
- Some experience in design or video editing (e.g., Canva, CapCut) preferred.
- Creative, proactive, and willing to learn in a dynamic NGO environment.
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Passion for social justice, childrens rights, or community development.
