Job Description
Community Activation Manager
Full-time | Malaysia | 3 to 5years experience
The Role
Supermom connects millions of mothers across Southeast Asia to the brands and resources that matter in their parenting journey. Our community of Key Opinion Mothers (KOMs) sits at the center of that, real parents whose authentic voices shape how families discover, trust, and choose products.
Based in Malaysia, you will own activation for the Malaysian market and take on cross-market campaigns that extend into Singapore. You will hold the relationships with our brand partners, source and grow the KOM network, and bring the community together offline through events that mothers actually want to turn up for.
This is a build role as much as a delivery role. The campaigns and events you run will shape how thousands of KOMs experiences working with Supermom, and how millions of parents encounter their content.
What You Will Do
- Own the activation pipeline end to end, from campaign scoping and KOM sourcing through to fulfilment, post-campaign reporting, and client recommendations
- Run Malaysian campaigns as the market lead, and take on Singapore and cross-market campaigns where briefs span both markets
- Plan and deliver community events in Malaysia end to end, covering concept, budget, venue, vendors, permits, run sheet, registration, on-site execution, and post-event reporting
- Build the Malaysian events calendar, balancing brand-sponsored activations with community-first gatherings that keep the KOM network engaged between campaigns
- Grow and retain the KOM community through recruitment drives, community group management, and a network of engaged community leaders and group admins
- Hold the relationships with assigned brand partners, running campaign reviews, presenting performance, and identifying opportunities to extend or scale
- Own fulfilment and revenue targets for your portfolio, with clear visibility on pipeline health and risk
- Turn campaign, community, and event data into insight, using performance analysis to improve engagement, sharpen sourcing, and demonstrate ROI to clients
- Refines the playbooks, briefs, and processes the market runs on, so quality holds as volume grows
- Keep Supermom ahead of platform shifts, content formats, and AI-driven production tools
Who You Are
- 3 to 5 years of experience in community management, influencer or creator marketing, event activation, or digital campaign management
- Experienced in planning and running live events, comfortable owning budgets, vendor negotiations, timelines, and on-site delivery, including the problems that only surface on the day
- Comfortable managing content creators at scale, curating user-generated content, and holding a consistent quality bar across many contributors
- Able to work across markets, with an understanding of how Malaysian and Singaporean audiences differ in language, platform habits, and what earns their trust
- A confident client-facing communicator who can present performance, manage expectations, and build trust with senior stakeholders
- Analytically fluent, able to work with campaign and community data and translate it into decisions rather than dashboards
- Organized and calm under pressure, able to run multiple campaigns, events, and brand relationships in parallel
- Willing to work occasional weekends and evenings around event dates, with travel within Malaysia and to Singapore where campaigns require it (off-in-lieu will be provided)
- Genuinely interested in social media trends, content formats, and AI-powered creation tools
- Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is a plus
Bonus points if you:
- Own and actively manage your own community, whether on WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, or elsewhere, and understand first-hand what keeps a group alive
- Have worked in a content creator or influencer agency, and know how creator sourcing, briefing, and fulfilment work from the inside
- Have run family or child-focused events, and know what parents need to feel comfortable bringing their children along
Why This Role Matters
Motherhood is hard, and the decisions that come with it rarely feel simple. The campaigns you deliver are powered by real mothers sharing real experiences, and those stories help other parents feel seen, informed, and supported. The events you run take that further, turning an online community into people who know each other by name.
