Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Company Secretary, based on-site at our office in Alor Setar. The Company Secretary will be responsible for managing corporate governance, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and providing guidance to the board of directors. Daily tasks will include organizing board and shareholder meetings, maintaining statutory records, and preparing and filing necessary documentation with regulatory authorities. Additionally, the role involves offering expert advice on corporate secretarial matters and supporting the decision-making process of the organization.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and legal requirements related to company secretarial functions
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage statutory records and handle documentation
- Proficiency in communication, presentation, and stakeholder management at all levels
- Attention to detail with skills in preparing accurate reports, minutes, and documentation
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics
- Proficiency in using relevant software, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Relevant professional certification such as ICSA or an equivalent qualification
- Exposure to the legal, financial, or business management sectors is an advantage
