- Perform statutory inspections and examinations of lifts and escalators in compliance with JKKP regulations and company standards.
- Ensure assigned equipment remains safe, reliable, and compliant with all statutory requirements.
- Identify safety hazards, technical defects, and non-conformities and recommend corrective actions promptly.
- Exercise sound technical judgment and professional integrity when conducting inspections and assessments.
- Take ownership of inspection schedules, certification requirements, and compliance documentation.
- Support the achievement of zero major safety violations and regulatory non-compliance findings.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to technicians and junior team members. Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example in safe work practices.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and statutory documentation. Build professional relationships with customers, consultants, building owners, and regulatory authorities.
- Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to improving equipment reliability, service quality, and customer confidence.
- Remain updated on industry standards, regulations, and technological developments.
- Demonstrate accountability, professionalism, and commitment to operational excellence.
Technical Requirements
- Registered Competent Person (Lift) with JKKP/DOSH.
- Strong knowledge of lift and escalator systems, including mechanical, electrical, and safety components.
- Good understanding of the Factories and Machinery Act, Lift Regulations, and relevant industry standards.
- Ability to perform independent inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and technical assessments.
- Experience in lift maintenance, modernization, installation, or statutory inspection.
- Safety-first mindset.
- High level of integrity and professional ethics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent observation skills.
- Confident in making technical decisions and recommendations.
