Job Title: Compliance Officer
Location: Cyberjaya (Hybrid)
Compliance Officer Reports to: Lead of Global HR platforms
Corporate / Business Division: Corporate Center
Role Purpose:
The Compliance Officer ensures that the organization consistently adheres to internal policies, governance standards, and external regulatory requirements.
The role focuses on identifying risks, conducting assessments and audits, developing mitigation measures, and strengthening documentation and reporting processes.
This is an execution driven role aimed at building a robust and sustainable compliance framework across the organization.
Job Description:
1. Policy & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
Monitor, interpret, and communicate updates to relevant external regulatory requirements.
Advise teams on compliance obligations, required actions, and policy interpretation.
2. Risk Assessments & Audits
Conduct regular compliance risk assessments across departments.
Execute scheduled and ad hoc compliance audits, checks, and control reviews.
Document findings clearly and prepare actionable audit reports.
3. Compliance Framework & Controls
Maintain and enhance compliance frameworks, SOPs, guidelines, and process controls.
Develop and track compliance KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.
Support continuous improvement of compliance processes and governance practices.
4. Mitigation, Remediation & Follow up
Work with business teams to define and implement mitigation measures for identified compliance risks.
Follow up on open findings from audits, assessments, and internal reviews to ensure timely closure.
Validate the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions.
5. Documentation & Reporting (Execution Focused)
Strengthen compliance documentation, including audit logs, review templates, evidence records, and checklists.
Prepare periodic compliance reports for management, summarizing adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.
Maintain systematic and audit ready documentation repositories.
6. Governance & Escalation
Provide regular status updates on compliance risks and open issues to senior management.
Escalate potential compliance breaches in line with defined escalation protocols.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors as required.
Knowledge / Experience Requirements (Divisional experience, Industry / Functional experience, Geographical experience, Special qualifications or certificates):
It will be a more executing task topic to strengthen documentation, reporting on adherence to policies and following up on findings.
HR Domain Process, Knowledge and experience with Oracle HCM product knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory
