Job Description

We are seeking a Compliance Manager to lead and oversee all compliance-related matters within the Automotive division. The role involves developing compliance frameworks, monitoring practices, and guiding stakeholders on governance and ethical standards. You will work with regulators, auditors, and internal teams to ensure effective controls, timely reporting, and a culture of accountability.

Job Responsibilities:

Legal & Regulatory Compliance

  • Provide legal advice and review contracts, agreements, and policies.
  • Monitor and interpret laws (e.g. PDPA, AMLA, Consumer Protection) and ensure operational compliance.
  • Liaise with regulators, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders to address legal and compliance issues.

Risk Management

  • Lead risk identification and mitigation strategies across the Automotive Division.
  • Conduct assessments, test internal controls, and prepare risk updates for Group reporting.
  • Oversee incident reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

Compliance Programs & Training

  • Develop and deliver compliance policies, SOPs, and training programs.
  • Conduct internal audits and investigations to assess framework effectiveness.

Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG)

  • Drive ESG strategy, reporting, and GHG tracking across business units.
  • Conduct materiality assessments and report ESG progress to Group stakeholders.

Occupational Safety (OSH)

  • Coordinate company-wide safety programs and ensure compliance with the OSH Act.
  • Support ongoing improvement of safety systems and practices.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Law, Legal Studies, Business, Risk Management, Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Industrial) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or related rolesideally in automotive, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of JPJ, SIRIM, DOE, DOSH, MITI, Customs regulations and standards.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Confident, assertive, and able to challenge constructively while maintaining good relationships.
  • High integrity, detail-oriented, and adaptable to a dynamic business environment.
