About The Role
We are looking for a Compliance Manager based in Singapore to own and strengthen the compliance framework for our asset management and liquidity businesses. You will be the day-to-day compliance lead for the Singapore operations and a key point of contact with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee compliance for fund management activities in Singapore, including ongoing obligations under relevant Capital Markets Services (CMS) licensing regime.
- Build and maintain compliance controls for liquidity and trading activities, covering market conduct, conflicts of interest, personal account dealing, information barriers, and trade surveillance.
- Review counterparty, exchange and custodian onboarding from a regulatory and AML/CFT perspective.
- Act as the primary point of contact with MAS for the business, track and interpret regulatory developments in Singapore, assess business impact, and lead implementation.
- Oversee the AML/CFT framework, including customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, sanctions screening, etc. Conduct or coordinate risk assessments and periodic compliance reviews.
- Develop, maintain and periodically review local compliance policies, procedures, and the annual compliance monitoring plan.
- Bachelor's degree or above in Law, Finance, Economics or a related field, with 6+ years of compliance experience in Singapore financial services institutions.
- Solid working knowledge of the Financial Services and Markets Act, MAS AML/CFT Notices, and other related guidelines.
- Proven experience engaging directly with MAS, such as handling license applications, inspections, or regulatory queries.
- Understanding of digital asset markets, trading and market-making activities, and associated risks is strongly preferred.
- Sound judgment, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to give practical, business-oriented advice in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage for communication with regional teams.
