We are looking for a talented Concept Artist to join the creative team. The role plays a key part in shaping the visual identity of our projects which primarily for young audiences. Versatility to adapt styles across different genres and production needs, from animation and games to marketing, licensing and merchandising is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Develop concept designs for characters, props, and environments for animation series based on scripts, references, or original ideas that could be translated into 3D animation production.
- Produce sketches, thumbnails, and quick visual iterations to explore ideas quickly.
- Refine and adapt artwork based on feedback from Art Director, producers, and the creative team.
- Balance creative vision with technical and production constraints.
- Collaborate closely with the Art Director and creative leadership to define and maintain the visual style of each project.
- Create key visuals and assets for pitching, PR, marketing, and licensing (posters, title treatments, pitch decks, presentation materials).
- Support the development of new IPs and existing franchises with strong visual storytelling and design direction.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience in the animation industry or relevant creative field.
- Strong foundation in drawing, composition, color, form, and design principles.
- Solid understanding of human and animal anatomy, form, proportion, scale, and the creative ability to stylize and push those rules.
- Excellent skill in Photoshop.
- Ability to visualise in 3D and be aware of form, volume and angles.
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly through visuals and take feedback constructively.
- Able to follow direction and produce consistent output.
- Ability to work efficiently to meet tight deadlines.
- Organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-moving creative production environment.
