Offshore Construcion Electrical & Instrument Technician
Offshore Technician specialized in Electrical and Instrumentation construction activities, with solid experience in installation, inspection, and pre-commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems in industrial and offshore environments.
Strong commitment to HSE standards, PTW procedures, and safe execution of work in high-risk offshore locations.
Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with:
- Installation and inspection of LV and MV electrical equipment
- Installation, mounting, and cabling of: Switchgear, Motor Control Centers (MCC), Electrical panels, Transformers and UPS systems
- Installation, termination, and basic testing of LV/MV electric motors
- Verification of cable routing, terminations, junction boxes, panels, and marshalling cabinets
- Ability to read and interpret: Single-line diagrams, Wiring diagrams and Electrical layouts
- Installation and connection of field instruments
- Support to PLC/DCS control system interfaces
- Loop cabling and marshalling verification
- Knowledge of IEC, ATEX, and offshore electrical standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Execution of electrical and instrumentation construction activities
- Installation and verification of electrical and instrument equipment according to project drawings and specifications
- Power, control, and instrument cable pulling, termination, and dressing
- Performing continuity, insulation resistance (Megger), grounding, and basic functional tests (pre-commissioning scope)
- Identification and correction of installation non-conformities
- Completion and closure of construction punch lists
- Support in preparation of handover documentation (test reports, as-built updates)
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams during offshore construction phases
Contract Details:
- Start date: ASAP
- Location: Offshore Brazil
- Rotation: 45 days on / 45 days off
- Working schedule: 12 hours/day, 7 days/week
- Contract type: 6-month + 6-month extendable contract
