Construction Engineer Topside

We are looking for a Construction Engineer to support topside refurbishment and life extension activities for an FPSO project. The successful candidate will coordinate construction works, ensure safe execution, and work closely with Engineering, QA/QC, Procurement, Planning, and Commissioning teams to deliver the project successfully.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and oversee topside construction, refurbishment, modification, and installation activities.
• Coordinate construction works to ensure activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.
• Review construction drawings, work packs, method statements, and technical documentation.
• Liaise with Engineering, QA/QC, Planning, Procurement, and Commissioning teams to resolve technical and site issues.
• Monitor construction progress, manpower utilization, productivity, and project milestones.
• Manage technical queries, field changes, and construction deviations when required.
• Support inspection, testing, mechanical completion, and system handover activities.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality requirements, classification standards, and HSE regulations.
• Identify construction risks and recommend mitigation measures to minimize schedule and cost impacts.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Marine, Naval Architecture, or related discipline).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in offshore oil & gas projects involving topsides, FPSO, FPU, platform fabrication, refurbishment, or brownfield modifications.
• Experience in at least two offshore oil & gas projects.
• FPSO project experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication, installation, structural steel works, welding, and NDT activities.
• Familiar with Mechanical Completion, system handover, and commissioning processes.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Safety-focused with the ability to work in a fast-paced project environment.
