Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Feasibility

  • Review project feasibility in coordination with the design and finance teams.
  • Manage, review and monitor the Master Project Schedule defining milestones for design, procurement, and construction.
  • Coordinate with architects and consultants to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and adhere to local building codes.

Statutory Approvals & Liaisoning

  • Assist in managing the process of obtaining all necessary building approvals and related from local authorities.
  • Liaise with government departments, consultants and contractors to ensure compliance to avoid legal issues.

Construction Management & Execution

  • Monitor and manage the consultant to ensure site operation works is progressing as per the schedule and meet all project related milestones.
  • Monitor and enforce strict Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) standards. Conduct regular inspections to ensure materials and workmanship meet specifications.
  • Monitor and implement and enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols on site.
  • Assist in managing the consultants/ contractor ensuring adequate allocation of machinery, equipment and resourcing to the delivery of the project.

Construction Management & Execution

  • Monitor and manage the consultant to ensure site operation works is progressing as per the schedule and meet all project related milestones.

Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Monitor and manage with cost & contract (C&C) department that cost is within the Project Budget.
  • Manage and review with consultants approve bills of quantities (BOQs), material reconciliations, and subcontractor bills.
  • Assist in managing the strict cost control is implemented to minimize wastage and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Assist and support the C&C department on variation, EOT and administrative works throughout project lifecycle and closeout.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for site works.
  • Review and manage Consultant and Contractor in the preparation and presentation of progress reports to align with TRXC requirements.
  • Prepare the TRXC monthly project progress reports

Risk Management & Problem Solving

  • Proactively identify and support the Project lead on potential project risks (technical, financial, or logistical) and develop mitigation plans.
  • Assist the Consultant/ Contractor to resolve site disputes, technical issues, and unforeseen site conditions quickly to avoid time overruns.

Requirement

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or related fields.
  • Minimum of 8-12 years work experience on site construction
  • Experience in managing contractors and sub-contractors on large scale commercial projects from foundation works to handover.
  • Experience in high-rise construction and architectural finishes works.
