We are currently looking for a Construction Manager open to site deployment in Kedah, Pahang, Perak, or Negeri Sembilan to support our Large-Scale Solar (LSS) projects.
Job Descriptions
1.Construction Planning & Execution Oversight
- Lead site mobilization and planning activities including layout reviews and construction phasing
- Develop detailed construction execution plans in collaboration with Project Engineers and subcontractors
- Manage construction sequence, work fronts, and resource allocation
- Drive productivity and mitigate site delays through proactive planning
2.Team Supervision & Coordination
- Supervise Field Project Engineers, foremen, and site supervisors across disciplines
- Monitor and guide daily work execution to ensure alignment with project schedule
- Lead daily toolbox briefings and weekly site coordination meetings
- Foster team accountability and professional development
3.Stakeholder & Subcontractor Management
- Act as primary point of contact for client site representatives, consultants, and authorities
- Coordinate and manage subcontractor scope, timelines, and performance
- Review and validate subcontractor method statements, work programs, and RFIs
- Ensure accurate and timely communication of design revisions and site instructions
4.Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Enforce implementation of QA/QC processes and HSSE protocols across all site activities
- Validate inspection and test plans (ITPs), witness quality checks, and approve RFIs
- Lead resolution of NCRs and client audit findings
- Promote a culture of safety and quality excellence on-site
5.Project Monitoring & Reporting
- Track construction progress against master schedule and report deviations
- Collaborate with planning and engineering teams for integrated project reporting
- Approve weekly site progress updates, daily activity reports, and issue escalation logs
- Participate in project steering committee reviews and client meetings
6.Commissioning & Handover Support
- Oversee final construction walkdowns and readiness for commissioning
- Ensure timely rectification of punch list items and system deficiencies
- Coordinate with Testing & Commissioning team for smooth project handover
- Review and approve construction handover documentation (e.g., ECC packages)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline
- Minimum 8 years experience in utility-scale solar or infrastructure project delivery
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or construction management capacity
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, engineering coordination, and project scheduling.
- Knowledge of construction standards, QA/QC procedures, and HSSE regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
- Fluent in English and Malay; Mandarin is an advantage.
- Competency in project tracking software and digital documentation systems.
- Willingness to travel / relocate to project sites across Malaysia
