Position: Consultant / Senior Consultant, Banking & Payments Strategy

Salary: RM10,000 – RM22,000 (based on qualifications & experience)

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Consulting

• Partner with stakeholders to understand business challenges, strategic priorities, and growth opportunities.
• Structure complex and ambiguous problems into clear workstreams, hypotheses, analyses, and actionable recommendations.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify opportunities for portfolio growth, customer engagement, and business performance improvement.
• Develop business cases, operating models, customer propositions, product strategies, implementation roadmaps, and transformation plans.
• Apply industry knowledge and commercial insights to strengthen recommendations and business outcomes.

Project Delivery & Stakeholder Management

• Manage multiple workstreams and project priorities across one or more engagements.
• Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, governance meetings, and strategic discussions.
• Collaborate effectively across functions including strategy, sales, marketing, risk, product, analytics, operations, and technology.
• Drive alignment across stakeholders while ensuring project quality and timely delivery.

Executive Communication

• Create compelling presentations, executive-level storylines, and decision-making materials.
• Translate complex analyses into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations.
• Present findings, insights, and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Business Development & Team Collaboration

• Contribute to proposal development and opportunity identification.
• Support client relationship development and stakeholder engagement.
• Coach and mentor junior team members where appropriate.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

What We're Looking For

✔ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.

✔ 2-10 years of professional experience within one or more of the following areas:

• Management Consulting
• Financial Services Consulting
• Banking
• Payments
• Fintech
• Business Strategy
• Digital Transformation
• Consumer Banking

✔ Strong consulting toolkit, including:

• Structured Problem Solving
• Analytical Thinking
• Business Case Development
• Stakeholder Management
• Executive Communication
• Strategic Thinking
• Storytelling & Presentation Skills

✔ Experience contributing to or leading client-facing engagements and transformation initiatives.

✔ Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.

✔ Experience with data analytics and visualization tools will be an added advantage.

✔ Candidates with exposure to Banking, Financial Services, Cards, Payments, Consumer Banking, Loyalty Programmes, Digital Payments, Customer Growth Strategy, Fintech, or Business Transformation projects will be highly regarded.
