Job Description

Industry: Smart Phone Industry (top 3 smart phone brand)

Working Location: 1Powerhouse, Bandar Utama

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 6pm

Department: Market Research & Analysis (Marketing & Communications)

Main Responsibilities

  • Engage consumers through qualitative and quantitative research (e.g., in-depth interviews, field studies, market visits) to build consumer profiles, define target audiences, and uncover key usage contexts and behaviors.
  • Leverage market trends and consumer behavior to deliver actionable data insights and recommendations that support business decisions, including product selection and brand positioning.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, such as sales, marketing and other related teams across projects to ensure insights are effectively integrated in product planning, value proposition development, marketing campaigns, and related business strategies
  • Promote and elevate consumer-centric thinking, support the adoption of data-driven decision-making, and empower stakeholders to strengthen their sensitivity to consumer needs and market dynamics.
  • Proactively monitor industry trends, competitors activity, and emerging research methodologies to stay ahead of the curve.

Job Requirements

 

  • Must possess at least a diploma or bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Marketing, or any related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in Consumer Insights, Market Research, or Product Planning related fields.
  • Required language(s): English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders).
  • Proven expertise in research frameworks and methodologies, with experience managing end-to-end research projects from design to execution and implementation.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable business recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional partnership skills, with demonstrated success in presenting diverse perspectives and driving alignment across stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen.
  • Self-driven, curious, and detail-oriented, with a strong interest in understanding consumer behavior and market dynamics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
