The Role in a Nutshell
As our Social Media Journalist, you'll be the face and voice of our business news across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. You will research, produce, and present bilingual multimedia content that breaks down the economy for a digital-first audience. This isn't just reporting; it's about building a community and driving the conversation in the financial space.
What You'll Be Doing
- Create & Present: Research and produce high-impact videos, articles, and infographics on the stock market and latest economic trends.
- Design & Edit: Use Canva and other editing tools to create thumb-stopping visuals and layouts.
- Trend-Spotting: Stay ahead of the curve by adapting content to the latest social media formats and platform algorithms.
- Bilingual Content: Script and present fluently in both English and Malay to reach our diverse audience.
- Agile Reporting: Manage multiple projects and stay flexible to cover breaking news as it happens.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: At least 1 year in social media content creation (freelance experience counts!).
- Education: A Diploma in any field; Mass Comm or Graphic Design is a big plus.
- Skills: Proficiency in Canva and video editing software; a strong eye for visual storytelling is essential.
- Mindset: A proactive learner who is passionate about business news and digital trends.
