Job Description

The Content Lead is responsible for overseeing, managing and optimizing content and mainly short video operations, driving audience engagement, and maximizing sales during live events. This includes overseeing the daily operations of short videos, ensuring smooth execution, and continuously improving the live streaming strategy across platforms like TikTok Shop, Shopee, and Lazada.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute short video strategies, ensuring effective implementation by the short video team.
  • Manage and maintain short video schedules for brand campaigns, aligning with promotional calendars and major shopping events.
  • Coordinate with the short video team to deliver high-quality content that meets brand standards.
  • Monitor short video sessions in real time, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain proactive and clear communication with cross-functional teams to provide timely updates and ensure on-time delivery of content.
  • Optimize technical setups for short videos, including equipment usage and platform configurations.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics such as Click-Through Rate (CTR), engagement rate, and Gross Merchandise Value (GMV).
  • Prepare detailed post-video reports for the Operations Manager, highlighting performance insights and areas for improvement.
  • Implement feedback from performance reviews to continually enhance the effectiveness of short video content.
  • Work closely with the short video team, providing strategic guidance to align deliverables with client objectives.
  • Support the recruitment, training, and onboarding of new hosts and moderators.
  • Mentor team members in the best practices and operational standards.
  • Communicate key updates and performance insights to the Operations Manager and Key Account Managers (KAMs) for client reporting.
  • Collaborate with platform representatives to stay updated on new features, tools, and compliance requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 35 years of working experience in eCommerce, live commerce, or a related digital field.
  • Diploma/Degree or equivalent professional qualification, preferably in eCommerce, Mass Communication, Information Technology, or Digital Marketing.
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce and social commerce ecosystems.
  • Proficient in livestream and marketplace platforms such as TikTok Shop and Shopee.
  • Solid analytical skills with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong rapport with clients, manage multiple accounts, and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin is an added advantage.
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Agile and adaptable, with a passion for staying current on industry trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies.
