Role: Senior Java Developer with AWS Experience
Work Location: Remote
Experience Required: 8–10 Years
Working Hours: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM IST (US Overlap Timings)
About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and AWS. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing scalable backend applications and building serverless workflows using AWS services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and maintain microservices-based applications.
- Design and implement serverless workflows using AWS Step Functions.
- Develop and integrate different AWS services to build scalable serverless applications.
- Develop and maintain AWS Lambda functions using Python.
- Develop and integrate APIs using AWS API Gateway.
- Work with Amazon RDS and other AWS database services.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
Required Skills
- 8–10 years of experience in Java Backend Development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong experience in developing Microservices.
- Good knowledge of AWS services.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Step Functions and serverless workflows.
- Experience with AWS Lambda, preferably using Python.
- Experience with AWS API Gateway and API development.
- Experience working with Amazon RDS.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and backend application development.
- Good understanding of cloud-based and serverless application architecture.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with additional AWS services such as EC2, S3, EKS, CloudFormation, DynamoDB, or CloudWatch.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Kafka or other messaging technologies.
- Knowledge of Python scripting and serverless application development.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
