Why does this job exist and why is it critical
This role is pivotal in developing and executing contract and vendor management strategies. It focuses on optimising commercial outcomes, ensuring compliance (SLA, KPI, regulatory), managing risks, and fostering strong vendor and internal stakeholder relationships to support Maxis objectives in a dynamic technological environment.
- Manage post-contract governance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, SLAs, KPIs, regulatory requirements, and company policies
- Oversee vendor performance management, conduct regular reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate contractual, commercial, and operational risks, including claims and dispute management
- Provide contractual and commercial advisory support to internal stakeholders and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Drive adoption of best practices, processes, by leveraging technology and innovative approaches to enhance contract and vendor management effectiveness
- Maintain contract records, reporting, and governance documentation to support informed decision-making and stakeholder engagement
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Professional certifications (e.g., World Commerce & Contracting (WCC), CCM, CPCM, CPSM, PMP, PMI etc.) are often preferred
- Minimum 8 years of experience in contract management, procurement, or a related role, with a significant focus on network or telecommunications contracts
- Solid understanding of network technologies, services, and infrastructure (e.g., Radio, Core, Transport, OSS, Enterprise services) is highly desirable
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, risk management, and analytical skills
- Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and vendor relationship management
- Strong understanding of contract law principles and procurement best practices
- Excellent negotiation, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyse complex contractual documents and identify key risks and opportunities
- Proficiency in network contract management hardware, software and Services
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
