Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Conveyancing and Banking Lawyer located in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Responsibilities include managing property-related transactions, transfers and assignments of property and regulatory approvals for property transactions, drafting and reviewing property related contracts and official filings, providing legal advice to sellers and purchasers of property, managing property and loan documentation to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and keeping abreast of stamp duty regulations. The candidate will also handle client relationships, prepare legal documentation, manage clerical staff and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Conveyancing and Real Estate law, including managing property-related transactions and preparing related legal documentation.
  • Knowledge of Banking law, including drafting and reviewing loan agreements and statutory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of Contract Law and property Law with attention to detail in reviewing legal documents and advising on contractual obligations.
  • Effective Communication and Client Relationship Management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Admission to the Malaysian Bar or similar equivalent qualification is required; additional qualifications or experience in international legal matters would be advantageous.
