Job Overview
We're in search of a well-rounded Copywriter for English, Simplified / Traditional Chinese languages to be the driving force in growing our clients in automotive, FMCG and retail out of Malaysia.
A CREATIVE LEADER AND TEAM PLAYER
- As an experienced creative, your task is to spearhead ideation in collaboration with the Creative Director and/or Designer/Art Director in the development of effective creative work. You are ready to work seamlessly with Account Service teams in ensuring briefs are complete and accurate for the development of effective creatives.
- You will lean on your experience in providing insight-led point-of-views in guiding the work and ideas of other copywriters for social, brand and activation to ensure work is on target, on point and upholds the Tag standard of effective and creative solutions.
- A consummate creative with an entrepreneurial mindset is most definitely an edge.
Responsibilities
- Question and probe client briefs to ensure insightful and effective creative solutions that deliver the brand's business objective
- Develop/edit/adapt/transcreation per brand tone using industry, brand and target audience-appropriate language (Simplified & Traditional Chinese is an edge)
- Produce original content for digital, social, POSM and traditional platforms
- Develop posts/articles/POSM copy, weeding through complex information to derive unique angles and business/customer insights
- Offer advice/edit the work of other copywriters in the team
- Proofread, sense-check and ensure work is accurate, grammatically correct and on brand
- Own and develop the proposal/presentation deck
- Effectively rationalize, present and defend creative proposals
Requirements
- A creative problem-solver who approaches briefs with a strategic, insight-led point-of-view
- Clear oral and written communication/editing skills whether succinct or long form with a strong portfolio of creative work that display campaign ideation
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Great interpersonal skills and organizational skills
- Able to collaborate within a team or as an individual contributor as needed
- Able to manage and handle multiple projects, brands and industries
- Excellent time management with strong decision-making skills
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications or relevant field
- Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Senior Copywriter or similar position
