Key Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and manage contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure compliance and protect the company's interests.
- Manage corporate structuring matters, including trusts, company formations, and related filings.
- Evaluate business proposals and provide legal and strategic guidance on potential opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure business initiatives comply with regulatory and legal requirements.
- Assist in business initiatives across different segments and in different countries, providing legal and operational support as required.
- Provide advisory support on commercial, operational, and corporate matters as needed.
- Maintain and update corporate records, legal templates, and internal compliance processes.
- Support the management team in ad-hoc strategic projects, including risk assessments and due diligence.
- Undertake ad-hoc assignments or projects as directed by the Board of Directors or Senior Management.
Requirements
- Degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) with at least 5 years of relevant experience in corporate law, contracts, or corporate governance.
- Prior exposure to business evaluation, commercial proposals, or business development is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of corporate and regulatory requirements in Malaysia; exposure to regulatory frameworks in other jurisdictions will be an added advantage.
