About the Role
This is a private-equity backed digital infrastructure platform operating hyperscale data centres across key Asia-Pacific markets looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to be based in their KL office. You will have the opportunity to work with business and legal teams across the various jurisdictions as the company continues on an expansion mode.
Responsibilities
As a senior legal counsel, you will be responsible for all legal matters, not limited to:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements including services agreements, co-location contracts, power purchase agreements, interconnection agreements, and SLAs with enterprise clients and hyperscale operators
- Lead contract negotiations with major telecommunications carriers, cloud service providers, and infrastructure vendors
- Conduct and manage comprehensive legal due diligence for M&A transactions, joint ventures, and strategic investments, with particular expertise in data center assets, real estate holdings, and telecommunications infrastructure
Qualifications
- An LLB degree or above from a reputable university in a common law jurisdiction
- At least 8 years of experience in a major international law firm
- Qualified to practice law in Malaysia and/or experience practicing in other common law jurisdictions is preferable.
