Role Description
This is an on-site Corporate Secretarial trainee program based in Petaling Jaya is for a period of up to 6 months. The trainee will assist in preparing and organizing statutory documents, maintaining corporate records, and updating company registers under the guidance of a senior company secretary. Daily tasks include supporting the drafting of resolutions and minutes, helping with regulatory filings, and coordinating with internal teams to gather required information and documentation. The trainee will also assist in monitoring compliance deadlines, organizing meetings and documentation for board and shareholder activities, and ensuring proper filing and storage of confidential records. This trainee program offers hands-on exposure to corporate governance practices and compliance processes.
Qualifications
- Foundational understanding or interest in company law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication in English; ability to prepare clear, concise reports and minutes.
- Comfortable using office productivity tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, document management systems).
- Ability to work on-site in Petaling Jaya, collaborate with diverse teams, and handle confidential information responsibly.
- Pursuing or recently completed studies in Law, Business Administration, Corporate Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt to structured processes and compliance-focused workflows.
