Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute SIDC's corporate strategic plans, monitors industry trends, tracks performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to promote SIDC's mission and research, ensuring consistent messaging across platforms.
- Translate scientific findings into accessible content for internal and external audiences, including annual reports, press releases, newsletters, and social media.
- Manage communications and stakeholders, collaborators, and media engagements, including crisis communications.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, research institutions, NGOs, and the public, to foster collaboration and awareness.
- Organise events, conferences, webinars, and seminars to strengthen scientific outreach and partnerships.
- Act as a central point for internal communications and support leadership in sharing organisational priorities.
- Serve as the central point for internal communications.
- Support leadership in communicating strategic goals and promoting a transparent, positive organisational culture.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, public relations, communications, life sciences, or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate planning, communications, or public relations, preferably in a healthcare, research, or scientific environment.
