Corporate Trainee - Settlement

Description

The incumbent will be responsible for the following Services within the team:

• Perform end to end processing for products such as FX/MM, Derivatives, Securities and Commercial Loan booked in the name of Commerzbank AG Tokyo branch. This includes timely validation of trade bookings, prompt action on Confirmation matching, accurate settlements of trades, cash management, post cash/trade break rectification and regulatory reporting to EMIR, etc.
• To ensure all risks associated with operations and settlements are identified, monitored, and resolved promptly.

This position is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Ensure trades are booked accurately and settled in a timely manner.
• Perform confirmation matching for Commerzbank AG Tokyo, Singapore, and China
• Report cash projections for Front Office funding purpose
• Liaise with Front Office, brokers, and counterparties to investigate and resolve operational or settlement issues.
• Perform intraday FX/MM trade reconciliations and ensure all open trades and cash breaks are resolved promptly.
• Participate in end-to-end disaster recovery and industry testing, and regression tests etc.
• Ensure all regulatory reporting to EMIR are fulfilled in a timely manner.
• Ensures proper recordings and maintenance of loan administration files.
• Support Group Head in achieving efficiency and effectiveness of the processes within the team through change management and continuous process improvement.
• Support additional tasks assigned by Group Head and subject to job rotation.
• Holiday coverage: Supports Commerzbank Singapore, Tokyo, China and Frankfurt activities during respective branch's holidays.

Formal Education:

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree or Commercial School Graduate preferred.

Skills and Qualifications

• Preferably Entry Level specialized in investment banking, commercial banking or broker
• No work experience required.
• Minimum CGPA is 3.0 pointer
• Strong team player with strong interpersonal and communicative skills.
• Required language(s): Fluent verbal and written in English required.
• Required Skill(s): MS Office and etc.
• NOTE: Successful candidates will be employed on a 12-months contract directly under Commerz Global Service Solutions Sdn Bhd. Upon completion of the Corporate Trainee Program, permanent employment will be offered based on the overall performance evaluation throughout the 12-months program.
