Cost Accountant

COST ACCOUNTANT (SENIOR EXECUTIVE)

MYFutureJobs Negeri Sembilan is recruiting a Cost Accountant (Senior Executive) on behalf of a company in the wood-based panel manufacturing industry, producing materials used in furniture and interior applications. The role involves working closely with production and finance teams on manufacturing costing, inventory valuation and monthly cost reporting.

Position Details

• Salary: RM4,000–RM5,000 per month (negotiable)
• Benefits: Meal allowance and attendance allowance

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory valuation.
• Validate material, labour and overhead cost allocation.
• Establish standard costing and prepare cost reports and variance analysis.
• Perform monthly costing reconciliation and closing, ensuring production data aligns with accounting records.
• Follow costing SOPs and support audits and internal controls.
• Work closely with production, Head Office finance and management accounting teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in cost accounting or management accounting.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing costing.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Able to maintain accuracy and meet monthly deadlines.
