Costing and Account Executive

Salary Range: RM 6 8K (based on working experience & qualification)

Job Summary

The Costing & Account Executive is responsible for preparing and analysing cost data to support accurate product costing, pricing, and financial planning. This role monitors cost variances, assists in identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensures the accuracy of costing records and reports. The position works closely with cross-functional teams to maintain reliable cost information and support operational efficiency.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive cost analyses, evaluate manufacturing variances, and recommend effective cost optimization initiatives.
  • Provide strategic, executive-level insights on cost structures, profitability, and margin performance to support informed decision-making.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and deliver actionable, data-driven recommendations to management.
  • Support budgeting and financial planning processes by supplying detailed cost data and variance analysis.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report cost variances, proposing corrective measures to maintain operational cost efficiency.
  • Ensure products are priced competitively and profitably through accurate cost calculation and analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to collect and validate cost data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and reliability in cost tracking and reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement in costing methodologies, systems, and internal processes to enhance efficiency and transparency.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Education Requirement: Diploma in Finance / Accounting or equivalent
  • Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia & Mandarin (required to communicate with China customer)
  • Experience Requirement: Minimum 2 years of working experience in costing within a manufacturing environment.
  • Required Skills: Strong understanding of costing methodologies and principles; proficient in computerized systems and advanced Microsoft Excel; sound basic financial knowledge; highly self-initiated, proactive, and result-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Other Information:

  1. Working hours (day and time): 8.30am-5.30pm. Monday to Friday
  2. Allowances - Fix monthly allowance of travelling RM100 + meal RM 50 (upon confirmation)
  3. 1-month contractual bonus
  4. Performance bonus - based on company performance & top management decision
  5. Person report to Senior Finance Manager
