Job Description

Purpose

BIPO is seeking a high-caliber General Manager to lead and manage the country's business operations. The role is responsible for driving profitability, operational excellence, and sustainable growth, in alignment with BIPO's regional strategy, business objectives, and values.

Key Responsibilities

1. Country Operations & Strategy Execution

  • Develop and execute the country business plan in alignment with the regional business strategy, local market needs, and growth priorities.
  • Translate strategic objectives into annual plans, budgets, and measurable targets, ensuring effective execution and results.
  • Work closely with department heads to cascade strategy into SMART objectives at functional and team levels.
  • Oversee annual budgeting and monitor financial and operational performance against plans.
  • Drive organisational development and change initiatives to support business growth and scalability.
  • Ensure clear communication and alignment of business strategy, priorities, and performance expectations across the organisation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

2. Operational Performance & Service Excellence

  • Ensure all operational activities comply with company standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive service excellence to maintain high customer satisfaction and expand the client portfolio.
  • Lead the implementation of business excellence initiatives and continuously monitor outcomes.
  • Oversee the rollout of new products, services, and solutions within the country.
  • Ensure operational infrastructure, systems, and assets meet required service and quality standards.
  • Adapt global standards and frameworks to meet specific local market and customer needs.

3. Business Development & Client Management

  • Build and sustain a profitable, customer-centric organisation with a strong leadership team.
  • Maintain and grow key client relationships, including strategic and top-tier customers.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing and emerging markets.
  • Support sales and commercial teams in winning new business through networks, partnerships, and proposals.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to inform business decisions.

4. Financial & Performance Management

  • Own country-level P&L performance and ensure achievement of revenue, margin, and profitability targets.
  • Oversee planning, forecasting, and performance monitoring at country level.
  • Review financial results regularly and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Ensure compliance with credit management, risk management, and internal control policies.

5. Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, develop, and motivate direct reports in line with company values, performance expectations, and talent strategy.
  • Drive performance management processes with HRBP, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, and annual appraisals.
  • Identify leadership and capability gaps; ensure development plans and succession actions are in place.
  • Foster a high-performance, accountable, and engaged culture across the country organisation.
  • Communicate business strategy, priorities, and results transparently and regularly to teams.
  • Act as a role model for BIPO's values, leadership behaviours, and ethical standards.

Job Requirements

  • Senior management experience in an international or regional business environment, preferably within Human Resources, SaaS, professional services, or related industries.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing P&L and driving business growth.
  • Solid understanding of human resource practices, solutions, or services is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience leading and managing diverse teams across functions.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, client management, and proposal leadership.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior clients and partners.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to operate effectively at all organisational levels.
