Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role as a Country Sales Manager at Meson Logistics Solutions based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As the Country Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the sales activities in Malaysia and Singapore. Your day-to-day tasks will include identifying and targeting new clients, building and maintaining customer relationships, conducting sales presentations, negotiating contracts, and achieving sales targets. This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with flexibility for some remote work.

The Country Sales Manager will be instrumental in driving growth for our newly formed company Meson Logistics Solutions (formerly known as Honeywell Logistics Solutions) with a key focus on selling Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related supply chain software. This role requires a dynamic individual with a deep passion for growth, acquiring new clients, and sealing the deal. The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient, adept at presenting to a diverse range of stakeholders, and must be committed to strategically advancing sales while proactively identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities.

Key Objectives: Forge strong customer relationships leading to the acquisition of 3-5 new clients annually in the designated territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Understand clients business needs and objectives to offer tailored solutions and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Sales and Business Development:
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and potential clients through market research and networking.
  • Conduct sales presentations and negotiations to close deals and secure new partnerships.
  • Account Planning and Forecasting:
  • Create account plans outlining strategies for growing existing client accounts.
  • Forecast sales and track performance against targets regularly.
  • Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for revenue optimization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to align efforts and drive customer success.
  • Provide insights and feedback from clients to contribute to product improvements and enhancements.
  • Contract and Proposal Management:
  • Prepare and present compelling proposals and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure contracts and agreements are in line with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Market Intelligence:
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
  • Utilize market insights to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior account managers.
  • Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment.

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of sales experience in software application industry; WMS (preferred) or ERP in relevant industries
  • Strong capability in consultative selling - identifying opportunities, negotiating & closing and articulating & delivering value proposition
  • Supply Chain industry experience such as logistic, warehouse, distribution center, retail, preferably from warehouse management / distribution
  • Experience in Sales management process; general methodology in managing sales, reviewing sales progress, understanding account's situation, analyzing, and providing solutions to complex situations
  • Fluency in English and Thai.
