Research / Analysis

  • Monitor companies fundamentals health & advise the CIO/Fund Managers appropriately
  • Prepared yearly credit reports for all the companies under the approved list.
  • Attend analysts briefings and investors conference to identify good investment opportunities.
  • Analyse and prepare investment proposals on companies, funds and financial products for potential investment purposes.
  • Prepare reports pertaining to the financial and economic data relating the global and domestic economic environment, foreign exchange rates, interest rates scenario, etc.

Fund Management

  • Incorporating a relative value framework, develop investment recommendations/ actions for Bonds portfolios.
  • Monitor the performance of the Companys investments, including but not limited to the external fund managers and internally-managed funds, and to give advice on them when warranted.

Strategic & Planning

  • Assist in the preparation of the Departments annual strategic plan, budget & forecast.
  • Assist in the formulation & interim review of the Companys Strategic Asset Allocation.
  • Prepare reports for various meetings of the Company including, but not limited to, the Management Investment Committee, Management Committee, Investment Committee, Shariah Supervisory Council and Board Meetings
  • Prepare reports for various external parties including, but not limited to, the rating agencies and regulatory bodies.

Compliance

  • Assist in the monitoring of the implementation and compliance to Investment Policy, Guidelines & Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assist in keeping the Investment Departments Policy, Guidelines and Procedural Manual current.

People Management

  • Manage daily operations by supervising subordinates day-to-day activities to ensure that processes are managed and delivered effectively and efficiently.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in any related field.
  • CFA holder
  • Have a minimum of 5 years relevant working experience in the related function.
  • Good knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Bloomberg
  • Self-starter and work independently on projects, tasks, and learning.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and able to multi task
  • Tactful, diplomatic yet persistent
  • Good attitude with the ability to work with different stakeholders and to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and good analytical skills & judgment.
