Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Credit Control Executive to support the company's premium collection, receivable management, and credit governance activities within the insurance and reinsurance broking environment. This role ensures accurate tracking of premium settlements, timely collections, proper reconciliation, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. The Credit Control Executive works closely with insurers, reinsurers, clients, internal stakeholders, and external auditors to uphold strong financial discipline and credit management standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Credit Control & Premium Collections
Manage and monitor client premium receivables, ensuring timely collection and settlement.
Prepare statements of accounts (SOA), collection reminders, and follow-ups with clients and intermediaries.
Track outstanding premiums and perform aging analysis regularly.
Ensure all incoming payments are correctly allocated to respective accounts and invoices.
2. Insurance / Industry-Specific Receivables Management
Handle insurance-related receivable transactions, including:
Premium receivables
Commission receivables
Claims recoveries (where applicable)
Reconcile premium records with insurers, reinsurers, and business partners.
Support the preparation and verification of bordereaux, settlement listings, and reconciliation statements.
3. Financial Operations Support
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly credit control reports for management review.
Maintain accurate and complete records in the accounting and broking systems.
Coordinate with the Finance team on month-end closing activities related to receivables.
Assist in resolving discrepancies or disputes relating to premium allocations or settlement issues.
4. Compliance & Internal Controls
Ensure compliance with internal credit control policies, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices.
Support audit exercises by preparing credit-related schedules and documentation.
Uphold standards relating to integrity, anti-corruption, anti-bribery, and data protection (PDPA).
5. Client & Stakeholder Coordination
Liaise professionally with clients, insurers, reinsurers, and internal departments to resolve outstanding issues.
Support client servicing teams with premium-related queries and documentation.
Build strong working relationships to facilitate smooth and timely settlements.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
Minimum 13 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or finance operations.
Experience in the insurance, reinsurance, or broking industry is an advantage.
Strong accuracy in handling figures and financial data.
Good understanding of credit control processes, receivables management, and reconciliation.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting or financial systems.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines.
High integrity, professionalism, and discipline in managing confidential information.
