We are seeking a Credit Control Manager to lead receivables, collections, and credit risk within a fast-paced logistics environment. This role is key to driving cash flow, minimizing bad debt, and supporting commercial growth while managing customer credit exposure across shipping, freight, and supply chain operations. Role is based in Selangor.
Key Responsibilities
- AR & Working Capital: Improve collections, reduce DSO, and manage AR ageing
- Overdues & Bad Debt: Drive recovery of aged receivables (>90/120 days) and minimize write-offs
- Credit Risk: Assess customer creditworthiness and set limits/terms
- Policy & Controls: Strengthen credit policies, SOPs, and compliance
- Team Leadership: Lead collections team and partner with operations & sales
- Disputes & Escalations: Resolve billing and operational disputes impacting collections
- Reporting: Deliver insights on AR, risk exposure, and collection performance
- Systems: Leverage ERP tools (SAP, CargoWise1) for monitoring and improvements
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent
- More than 8 years experience in credit control / AR (logistics industry preferred)
- 3+ years managing teams
- Strong stakeholder management and commercial acumen
- Experience with CargoWise1 and SAP preferred
