Vertiv is looking for an experienced Credit Management professional to oversee and strengthen the company's credit operations. This role will work closely with the Sales, Marketing, and Global Service teams to support business growth while ensuring effective credit control and timely receivables collection. The position will be responsible for managing credit risk, monitoring accounts receivable and DSO performance, preparing credit management reports, and maintaining strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external customers. The ideal candidate will bring solid experience in credit management, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and the ability to ensure that Vertiv's credit policies and corporate standards are consistently upheld.

STRATEGIC ROLE

  • To engage, manage and work directly to improve the activities of the credit department of Vertiv.
  • To facilitate credit management support for the Sales and Marketing as well as the Global Service division.
  • To ensure timely credit management reports are prepared and submitted for all internal and external requirements.
  • To ensure company DSO target is met.

Accountabilities

  • Actively involved in all credit management activities for Vertiv. Ensure on time receivables / DSO forecast and credit management reports. Closely monitor company's receivables and minimize credit risk and keeping the management and regional office / HQ informed.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Ensure that the periodic (annually, monthly & weekly) credit management reports and receivables / DSO forecast are prepared and submitted in timely manner.
  • Ensure that credit management infrastructure is able to support the business environment in Malaysia and yet can meet Vertiv corporate expectation.
  • Ensure all debts owed to the company are collected in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that documents supporting the business transactions are in order and do not poise any unwarranted delays for the debtors to pay the company.
  • Ensure that delinquent accounts are handled in a proper and timely manner.
  • Ensure that credit worthiness of both new and existing customers are regularly reviewed and assessed. Credit terms and credit limit for existing databases should always be up to date.
  • The focus areas for the job holder include:
  • To maintain accurate Accounts Receivables Ledger.
  • To perform company debt collection.
  • To build customer relationship to facilitate prompt payment.
  • To minimizes delinquent accounts.
  • To review aging report on weekly.
  • To assist associates of the company in credit management matters.
  • To assist existing or new customers who need help to establish credit facility.
  • Liaising with company lawyers for litigation cases.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma/ Degree in Business Studies / Finance / Accounting or related field with minimum 5 years working experience in credit management.

BUSINESS COMPETENCIES

  • Understand Vertiv's objective, operations and processes.
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia both written and spoken.
  • Good rapport with internal and external customers.

PROFESSIONAL / TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office Products).
  • Possesses thorough knowledge of credit.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge in Hazard identification and Risk Assessment

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY (OH&S)

  • Ensure OH&S risk assessment are conducted in your respective responsible areas.
  • OH&S related doc shall be documented, updated as and when necessary.
  • Ensure the implementation of the OHS Management Programme to ensure OHS objectives are achieved;
  • Ensure all OHS related procedures and work instructions are observed and followed.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of PPE(s) that assigned to you.
  • To cooperate and support to SHC committee during workplace inspections, OHSMS internal & external audit.
