Job description
A Credit Recovery Officer is responsible for managing overdue accounts and ensuring timely collection of debts. Their role involves contacting customers with outstanding payments, negotiating payment plans. resolving disputes, and monitoring accounts to prevent further delinquencies. They maintain accurate records of collections, prepare reports for management, and ensure compliance with legal and company standards. In some cases, they may initiate legal actions or work with external agencies to recover debts. The goal is to recover outstanding funds while maintaining professionalism and customer relations .
Responsibilities
- Debt Collection : Contacting customers who have overdue payments. either by phone , email, or letter , to remind them of their obligations and negotiate payment plans .
- Account Review and Monitoring : Monitoring accounts to identify overdue payments or missed deadlines, and keeping detailed records of communications and action taken .
- Dispute Resolution : Addressing and resolving disputes or issues that may arise with customers regarding their accounts .
- Payment Arrangements : Developing and negotiating payment arrangements or settlements with customers who are experiencing financial difficulty.
- Customer Service : Providing excellent customer service while ensuring collections are made in a professional and compliant manner .
- Compliance : Ensuring all debt collection practices adhere to company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum SPM, Diploma, or Degree in any field .
- Excellent knowledge in debt collection/sales marketing/customer services is a plus
- Positive attitude, passionate on collaborative teamwork, excel at interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English
- Good problem-solving skills, able to navigate unexpected situations or conditions
- Able to work at Ampang Kuala Lumpur
