Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the Tiger Team technicians, ensuring they are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated to perform their duties effectively.
- Manage the team's roster, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts and adherence to the four-days-on, four-days-off schedule.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify areas for improvement within the team.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, promoting open communication and knowledge sharing.
- Oversee the operational handover process from construction to operations, ensuring all necessary documentation, systems, and processes are in place.
- Collaborate with the project team to address outstanding works and resolve any issues impacting the facility's readiness for operations.
- Support Client with end-user demands during the integration and migration of capacity, ensuring a seamless transition.
- Possesses comprehensive expertise in data center operations, with a strong focus on managing and maintaining critical infrastructure systems including PDUs, UPS, generators, advanced cooling systems (CRACs, chillers), BMS, fire safety, and security systems.
- Oversees the implementation of Change Control processes and Method of Procedure (MOP) execution
- Ensures accurate and up-to-date asset documentation, including drawings, manuals, and maintenance records
- Manages the BMS integration process, ensuring proper configuration, monitoring, and control of critical systems
- Oversees the management of critical spares, ensuring adequate inventory levels and timely replenishment
- Coordinates and participates in training programs for the Tiger Team and other Facilities Management (FM) personnel
- Oversees and participates in Emergency Switching Procedures
- Ensure all activities align with CBRE policies, procedures, and industry best practices
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety regulations and promoting a strong safety culture within the team
- Ensure compliance with all applicable data center standards and regulations
- Provide regular reports on Tiger Team activities, performance, and key metrics
- Communicate effectively with the Facilities Manager, Operations Manager, project team, and other stakeholders
- Maintain clear and concise communication logs, documenting all significant events and actions taken
Qualifications and Education:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Relevant certifications such as Data Center Design Professional or Certified Data Centre Professional are a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data center operations or a related field
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Experience in a greenfield data center environment is highly desirable
- Technical Skills
- Expert knowledge of critical data center infrastructure systems (power, cooling, BMS, etc.)
