Customs Compliance Manager Job Opening for a Market Leader in the Chemical Manufacturing Industry

A world market leader in the chemical manufacturing industry with an internationally renowned Shared Service Centre (SSC) based in Kuala Lumpur. Due to rapid expansion, they are looking for a Customs Compliance Manager to be part of the team that is responsible for running all related functions across the APAC region and globally.
Your new role
- Increase transparency in new laws, regulations, and customs agreements.
- Define and implement regional guidelines to ensure compliance with customs requirements and legislation.
- Engage proactively with customs communities to align and share global processes and knowledge.
- Conduct risk assessments, maintain documentation, and perform annual reviews within the internal control system.
- Collaborate closely with process design, audit, and legal teams to ensure compliance and process improvements.
- Monitor and interpret court decisions to address business needs.
- Act as project coordinator and analyse internal and external customs data for standardised visual reporting.
- Provide training to customs custodians.
What you'll need to succeed
- Min 5 years of Indirect Tax experience
- Consultative/Advisory exposure
