A global chemical manufacturing company, with a well-established shared service hub located in Kuala Lumpur. They are looking for a Customs Data and KPI Manager to lead global customs data management and analytics, ensuring data accuracy, regulatory alignment, and providing strategic insights to optimize duty spend and compliance.
Your new role
- Own and manage Customs Dashboards and Tariff Simulation App, including access control, development, and data integration with supply chain systems.
- Ensure global consistency and governance of customs data by defining guidelines, KPIs, and maintaining alignment with process design and AI teams.
- Monitor and incorporate changes in customs laws, regulations, and trade agreements into dashboards and tools to enhance transparency.
- Perform deep-dive analysis of internal and external customs data, translating insights into standardized visual reports and dashboards.
- Identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities, providing actionable insights to improve compliance and duty efficiency.
- Prepare and present customs performance reports and KPIs to regional and global stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with customs communities, business units, and supply chain teams; act as the key point of contact for dashboard-related topics.
- Drive knowledge sharing and capability building by engaging communities of practice and delivering training.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Law, Supply Chain, Business Analytics or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in customs compliance, trade compliance, supply chain or customs operations, with regional or global exposure.
- Experience with PowerBI or SAP
- Strong understanding of customs regulations, broker management, and internal control systems.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
