About the Job

As a Cybersecurity Intern in the Awantec Cybersecurity practice, the candidate will support Head,Cybersecurity and the cybersecurity team in learning and assisting with foundational cybersecurity activities, documentation, and service development work.

This internship is designed to provide real industry exposure, hands-on learning, and mentorship across cybersecurity consulting, SOC concepts, and product & service development. The role is suitable for students who are eager to learn and grow in the cybersecurity field.

Key Accountability

Be proactive in learning using Awantec's learning platforms (e.g. Percipio)

Assist Head, Cybersecurity in preparing cybersecurity product & services slides and basic presentations

Support documentation work related to risk assessment and consulting engagement

Assist senior team members in basic cybersecurity tasks (research, screenshots, checklists, notes

Learn cybersecurity concepts, tools, and workflows used in real industry environments

Propose and complete one (1) main project or major effort to be presented at the end of the 6-month internship

Job Summary

Support documentation, research, and reporting for cybersecurity consulting wo

Assist in simple security posture checks and evidence collection under guidance

Help prepare internal materials such as slides, reports, and template

Gain exposure to SOC concepts, threat monitoring, and security tools (observation and basic task

Work closely with Head, Cybersecurity and the cybersecurity team on assigned learning objectives

Qualification

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field

Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts is an advantage

Desired Exposure

Interest in cybersecurity consulting, SOC operations, or security engineering

Willingness to learn documentation, analysis, and presentation skills

Familiarity with basic IT, networking, or security concepts
