Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for conducting analysis and reporting, implementing various statistical models, performing data analysis, developing data strategies, and creating dashboards to support EPF business goals.

Data Analytics

  • Apply data modelling techniques using analytical tools (e.g., R, Python, Power BI) to generate statistical and data-driven insights tailored to various market segment needs from diverse data sources.
  • Evaluate statistical data to identify correlations and uncover patterns, ensuring accurate application and interpretation of statistical models.
  • Perform in-depth analysis on large volumes of internal and external data, translating findings into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of quick-win initiatives as well as mid- to long-term opportunities to support EPF's journey toward becoming a data-driven organization.

Data Insights, Visualization & Reporting

  • Analyze business activities and trends, perform forecasting to identify risks and opportunities, develop interactive dashboards, monitor key KPIs, ensure data accuracy, automate reporting processes, and deliver timely reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Provide marketing and customer insights by evaluating campaign performance, driving growth and retention strategies, analyzing customer experiences, developing customer segmentation models, optimizing communication strategies, and supporting CRM effectiveness.
  • Communicate analytical findings through compelling data storytelling, including data visualization and mapping insights to business and functional leaders.

Data Strategy

  • Support the development and execution of operational data strategies aligned with organizational goals, ensuring data is effectively leveraged as a strategic asset.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify strategic data opportunities, streamline data processes, and enhance data literacy across departments.
  • Participate in initiatives related to data governance, metadata management, master data management, and data lifecycle management to strengthen overall data stewardship.
  • Evaluate emerging data technologies, tools, and industry best practices to support digital transformation, enhance analytics maturity, and enable long-term data capabilities.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

  • Strong knowledge of implementing business data solutions, including data modelling, data visualization, and advanced data analysis.
  • Hands-on proficiency in data-focused programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and related tools.
  • Fundamental understanding of data management disciplines, including data governance, data quality, business intelligence, and data security and privacy principles.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with an entrepreneurial mindset, while effectively collaborating cross-functionally across multiple departments within the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Malaysian citizen
  • Pass in Bahasa Melayu, including oral test in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.
  • Possess a Master's or Bachelor's degree with a quantitative focus: Data Science/ Business Analytics/Actuarial Science / Mathematics/ Computer Science, Information Systems/ Technologies (IS/IT) or equivalent qualification from accredited higher learning institutions.
  • At least six (6) years of working experience in data analysis
