Job Description

MYDATA Infomatica Sdn Bhd is a licensed Credit Reporting Agency (CRA) under the CRA Act 2010, based in Kuala Lumpur. Driven by a mission to promote financial inclusion, we specialize in leveraging alternative data and advanced analytics to challenge traditional credit assessment methods. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collect, clean, validate, and analyse data from internal and external sources, including company registries, financial statements, and SSM records.
  • Maintain regular data updates and perform ongoing data quality checks to ensure accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and consistency across multiple data sources.
  • Support the development and maintenance of data models and reporting templates for SME and company credit reports.
  • Assist in designing and enhancing dashboards and data visualisations for internal stakeholders and client-facing reports.
  • Collaborate closely with product, business, and cross-functional teams to define data requirements and enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis to support strategic planning, audits, product development, and innovation initiatives.
  • Deliver accurate, timely, and reliable data outputs to support data operations and the delivery of high-quality products.
  • Translate data findings into actionable insights to support business and product decisions.
  • Support the creation and continuous improvement of credit reporting analytics, methodologies, and processes.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities within company and SME datasets.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to innovation initiatives by recommending enhancements to data collection, analysis, and reporting approaches.
  • Assist in monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and preparing data-driven reports for management.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field.
  • 23 years of experience in data analysis within finance, fintech, or related industries.
  • Familiarity with SSM records, company data, or SME financial reporting is an added advantage.
  • Understanding of data governance, compliance, and data integrity best practices.

Basic Skills:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced, startup environment.

Technical & Analytical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Excel, Python and SQL.
  • Experience in data collection, cleaning, validation, and modelling.
  • Data visualization skills using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical thinking and statistical reasoning abilities.
