Minimum qualifications:
- Experience with performing component-level repairs and troubleshooting on technical equipment.
- Experience with diagnosing and troubleshooting operating systems, computer hardware and server hardware.
- Experience with networking protocols.
- Ability to lift/move 50lb (23kg) of equipment and ability to exert yourself physically over extended periods of time, including frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling and lifting.
- Ability to work non-standard hours, including working weekends, night shifts, holidays and on shift-based schedules as required.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in maintenance of server systems.
- Experience working within a data center or network operation center environment.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware and network issues using Linux tools.
- Networking knowledge, including topology and protocol understanding.
- Strong people and communication skills, including ability to communicate in English fluently to communicate with cross-functional teams.

As an Operations Technician, you'll install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware (like servers and its components) and server software (like Google's Linux cluster). Responsibilities
- Contribute to efforts/projects in the deployment, maintenance, and support of current and new data center infrastructure.
- Learn and apply skills in repairing and troubleshooting different machine platforms.
- Participate in complex troubleshooting and resolve critical technical issues.
- Test and troubleshoot new server and network hardware components and designs.
- Install and maintain switches, routers, and other large-scale networking gear. Configure and troubleshoot Linux OS-related issues.
