Job Description

An established global technology services provider is building a new Network Operations Centre team in Kuala Lumpur to support large-scale Data Centre network environments.

This team operates within a high-performance, highly available infrastructure, supporting complex routing and switching networks across a multi-vendor Data Centre environment. Designed for scale, resilience, and continuous uptime, these networks form a critical part of a global platform.

This opportunity is suited to a Network Operations Engineer looking to develop within a structured L1 role, gaining exposure to large-scale Data Centre networks and modern, automation-led operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support large-scale Data Centre network infrastructure across routing and switching platforms

• Act as a Level 1 point of contact for network incidents within a 24/7 operations environment

• Perform Layer 1 to Layer 3 fault isolation across Data Centre network environments

• Manage and update incidents in line with defined service level agreements

• Escalate issues to L2/L3 engineering teams and vendors where required

• Support network moves, adds, and changes within the Data Centre

• Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and network changes

• Follow operational procedures and contribute to continuous improvement of NOC processes

• Assist with monitoring optimisation and support automation-driven operational workflows

Requirements

• Experience within a Network Operations Centre or 24/7 network operations environment

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including IP addressing, VLANs, routing, and switching

• Hands-on exposure to Cisco or Juniper networking technologies

• Experience supporting Data Centre or large-scale network environments

• Familiarity with network monitoring and ticketing systems

• Ability to troubleshoot across physical (Layer 1) and logical (Layer 2/3) network layers

• Strong communication and documentation skills
