1.Experience working in a live production data centre environment, Familiar with:
- Rack & stack
- Cabling (UTP / fiber patching)
- Equipment installation / decommission
- Handling hardware lifecycle (IMACD: Install, Move, Add, Change, Dispose)
2. Infrastructure Knowledge
- Basic understanding of:
- Power (UPS, PDU, dual power feed)
- Cooling systems (CRAC / HVAC)
- Fire suppression systems
- Awareness of redundancy (N+1, Tier concepts)
3. Server & Network Handling
- Hands-on with:
- Physical servers (Dell, HP, etc.)
- Network devices (switches, routers)
4.Tasks:
- Reboot / power cycle
- Hardware health check
- Disk / RAM replacement
4. Monitoring & Incident Support experience with monitoring tools (alerts, dashboards)handling:
- Incident response
- Escalation process
- troubleshooting
5. SOP & Compliance
- Following SOP / runbooks
- Change management process
- Exposure to:
- ISO / audit requirements
- Documentation & reporting
6. Access & Security experience with:
- DC access control (badging, logging)
- Welcome vendors / visitors
