We are hiring for Data Centre Technician and Data Centre Escort roles to support a large-scale data centre operations environment in Johor Bahru.

This opportunity is suitable for candidates who are interested to build a long-term career in the fast-growing data centre industry. Candidates with experience in data centre operations, IT support, server hardware, cabling, network support, electronics, facilities, security operations, warehouse, manufacturing, technical support or field support are encouraged to apply.

Fresh graduates with good attitude, basic IT / technical knowledge, and willingness to learn will also be considered for junior roles.

Role 1: Data Centre Technician

The Data Centre Technician will support daily data centre operations, including hardware checks, server support, rack and stack, cabling, remote hands, troubleshooting, equipment movement and operational documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily operations inside a data centre environment.
• Assist with server hardware installation, rack and stack, equipment checks and basic troubleshooting.
• Support hardware replacement activities such as HDD, SSD, RAM, PSU, fan modules, SFP and related components.
• Perform basic remote hands support, including visual checks, power cycling, cable checking and physical verification.
• Support copper and fibre cabling, patching, cable tracing, labelling and cable management.
• Assist with server deployment, relocation, decommissioning and hardware validation.
• Monitor and respond to assigned tickets, incidents or operational requests.
• Coordinate with engineers, vendors, logistics teams and onsite operations staff.
• Maintain proper records for hardware movement, asset tracking, ticket updates and shift handover.
• Follow data centre SOP, MOP, safety, access-control and escalation procedures.
• Report abnormalities, safety concerns, hardware issues or operational risks promptly.

Requirements

• Certificate / Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Networking, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or related field.
• Candidates with experience in data centre, IT support, server support, network support, cabling, electronics, technical support, field support or manufacturing technical roles are preferred.
• Fresh graduates with strong interest in data centre operations are welcome to apply.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, servers, networking, LAN cables, fibre cables or switch ports will be an advantage.
• Hands-on attitude and willingness to perform physical technical work.
• Able to follow strict SOP and work in a process-driven environment.
• Good attention to detail, safety awareness and willingness to learn.
• Comfortable working onsite in Johor Bahru / Kulai / Sedenak.
• Comfortable with shift / rotational work if required.
• Malaysian Citizen / PR preferred.

Role 2: Data Centre Escort

The Data Centre Escort will support secure access and vendor movement within the data centre environment. This role is suitable for candidates with good discipline, communication, safety awareness and ability to follow strict procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Escort vendors, contractors, visitors or authorised personnel within the data centre.
• Ensure all escorted personnel follow site rules, safety requirements and access procedures.
• Verify access approval, visitor details, work area and movement route before escorting.
• Monitor vendor / contractor activities and ensure they remain within approved areas.
• Report unauthorised access, unsafe behaviour, suspicious activity or site abnormalities immediately.
• Support basic data hall walkthroughs and visual checks when required.
• Assist with access logs, escort records, handover notes and daily reporting.
• Coordinate with security, engineers, technicians, facility teams and operations staff.
• Support equipment movement, site coordination or basic operational tasks where required.
• Follow all SOP, security, safety and escalation procedures strictly.

Requirements

• SPM / Certificate / Diploma in any discipline.
• Experience in data centre, security operations, facilities, warehouse, logistics, site coordination, customer service, operations support or technical environment will be an advantage.
• Fresh graduates / junior candidates with good attitude are welcome to apply.
• Able to communicate clearly with vendors, contractors and internal teams.
• Comfortable walking around site and standing for long periods.
• Strong sense of responsibility, discipline and attention to detail.
• Able to follow strict access-control and safety procedures.
