About The Job
As a Data Engineer , you will be joining the growing Data Warehouse
team to design, build, and maintain our data warehouse. Data is only useful when it's understood. Other data teams in the company, including the BI team, the Data Science team, the Optimization team, and Data Analysts in different functions, rely on the clean and processed data in the centralized data warehouse to maximize the business impact. The data warehouse team will be the owner of the data warehouse design, as well as the data pipeline for its processing.
This is an onsite set up, office location in: Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia
What you will need
2+ years of relevant experience in data engineering
Strong experience in SQL and Python
Extensive experience in building complex ETL pipelines
Experience in the Hadoop ecosystem, such as Hive, Impala, Spark, Flink etc.
Good knowledge in data warehouse framework, and data model design theory
Must be fluent in English and Mandarin or in Cantonese, both written and spoken
Good communication skill with stakeholder
Must be amenable to work onsite.

What you will do
Implement the data warehouse with best practices in mind

Work with upstream consumers and downstream users, to translate and integrate requirements into our data models
Understand, document, and maintain business definitions, data dictionary, and data mapping
