About The Role
We are looking for a talented and driven
Data Engineer to join our Group Technology team at RHB Banking Group. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines to deliver accurate and reliable Data Products for analytics, reporting, and operational use cases. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business needs.
What You Will Be Doing
- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines that ingest, process, transform, and deliver Data Products for analytics and operational use cases.
- Develop and orchestrate automated workflows using modern data engineering frameworks and orchestration tools to ensure reliable and timely delivery of Data Products.
- Perform data cleansing, preprocessing, and transformation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability.
- Implement ETL/ELT processes to extract data from diverse sources, transform it into unified structures, and load it into analytics-ready storage.
- Provide recommendations to optimize data usability, pipeline performance, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with business, product, and technology teams to define data requirements and design scalable pipeline architectures.
- Anticipate future integration and scalability requirements to ensure long-term pipeline reliability.
- Define and implement frameworks for data validation, monitoring, and error handling to ensure high data quality and source integrity.
- Partner with governance teams to enforce compliance, manage metadata, and track data lineage across the pipeline ecosystem.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience designing and building data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Strong knowledge of data engineering frameworks and orchestration tools.
- Experience with data cleansing, transformation, and preparation for analytics.
- Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and lineage tracking.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to evolving business requirements.
